There is nothing either mysterious or magical about hypnotherapy, and to dispel a common myth, you will not lose control or go to sleep.

Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state of consciousness in which you access deeper levels of awareness than in your normal day-to-day functioning.  This provides you with wider choices about the way you feel, think and behave.

Hypnosis has been used as a therapeutic tool dating back thousands of years. The term "clinical hypnotherapy" refers both to the diagnosis of individual problems, and the application of hypnotherapeutic approaches to the treatment of those problems within a structured clinical framework.

My special interest is working with patients to overcome a variety of anxiety based problems, such as fears and phobias, panic attacks, trauma resolution, lack of confidence, habit cessation, eating problems, and I have developed a very successful 3-session Weight Loss programme. I have also helped many people to quit smoking in just ONE session.

Clinical or therapeutic hypnosis is in fact a very relaxing and enjoyable experience and can be very effective in helping you improve your life. It's often faster than many other therapies and without the side effects sometimes connected with drugs.
